Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable automatic code tones to be produced in the musical tone generating circuit of damping tone system envelopes by producing necessary key-ON signals through automatical changing over of the operation modes of the key ON signal forming circuit for damping tones.
CONSTITUTION: An OR circuit which is inputted with the code gate signal CG which instructs the sound production timing of the code tones in automatic base code performance and the normal gate signal NG produced continuously when the automatic base code performance is turned OFF and an AND gate which is inputted with the output of the OR circuit and key ON signal KO 1 are provided. Arrangement is so made to input the output of the AND circuit to a signal forming circuit 16 without directly inputting the signal KO 1 thereto, whereby the signal CG is handled as if the signal indicating key depression and at each generation of the signal CG, the signal of a short fixed time width is generated from the circuit 16 to control the sound production in the musical tone generating circuit 12 of the damping tone system.
