Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject process and a catalyst used therefor comprising subjecting vinylcycloalkene to catalytic dehydrogenation in a gaseous phase in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a Pd metal supported on an α-type alumina carrier, thereby obtaining the subject compound with a high selectivity.
