PURPOSE: To obtain a terephthalic acid suspension containing small amounts of catalyst and impurities, by replacing the mother liquor in the terephthalic acid suspension, obtained from liquid phase oxidation or purification of a p-dialkylbenzene, with a fresh solvent.
