Abstract

Acethydrazide is hydrogenated in the presence of a formaldehyde source in a water or lower aliphatic alcohol medium or one composed of a mixture thereof, at a temperature of 20 to 150 DEG C. The desired compound is thus obtained in one stage and with high yields.
