Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid disconnection of wire electrodes at a point such as corners where unstable condition is caused between electrodes in a wire-cut electric discharge machine using a wire electrode. CONSTITUTION:Waveforms PV1, and PA to PD respectively indicate an average working voltage V1, a set output A of a flip flop FF, an output pulse B of a counter CU, an output pulse C of a pulse oscillator OS2 and an output pulse D of a pulse oscillator OS1. When an average working voltage V1 inclines greater toward a minus level from the zero during the working of corners or the like, the flip flop is set to delay the cycle of the output valve C and D. Consequently, a working power fed through a transistor TR decreases while the feed speed of a wire electrode P reduces. Accordingly, the disconnection of the wire electrode can be prevented accurately in working corners in which the rate of working amount could drop drastically.
