NEW MATERIAL:5-Fluorouracil derivatives of formulaI[either R1 or R2 is formula II (A is formula III where R3 is H, acryl) and the other is H]and their salts.
EXAMPLE: O4-(2-Amino-2-deoxy-β-D-glactopyranosyl)-5-fluorouracil.
USE: Low-toxicity carcinostatic agent.
PREPARATION: The condensation reaction between a metals salt of 5-fluorouracil of 5-fluorouracil of formula IV (R4 is hydrxyl group-protecting group that can be eliminated byreduction; M is metal) and a halogenopyranose derivative of formula V (R5 is amino group-protecting group that can be eliminated by reduction; X is halogen; B is residue of R3 and R4 in group A from which hydrogens are removed) is conducted to form the compound of formula VI and protecting groups are removed from the product to afford the compound of formulaI.
