Abstract
PURPOSE:To intend to improve electric resistance of electric insulating member and abrasion resistant property, by forming oxydized metamorphose layer on the surface of a base body which is composed over one sort of chromium, aluminum, nickel and titanium, zirconium and the like and residual iron. CONSTITUTION:A formed body of alloy in which chromium is 10-30% weight%, aluminum is 1-7%, nickel is 1-5% and one sort or two sorts of any of titanium, hafnium, yttrium, cerium and lanthnum is 0.1-2% and remainder is iron is made as a bade body. After this base body is formed, this is heated in oxydizing atmosphere, for example in air, at over 1,000 deg.C, preferably 1,200-1,300 deg.C, then, oxydized metamorphose layer of the base body which includes aluminum oxide is formed. Since this electric insulating member has excellent electric resistance and high hardness, in addition to excellent anti-shock property, and the abrasion resistant property is improved, this electric insulating member can be applied for fixing guide and the like in projection welder.
