PURPOSE: To make it possible to attain bar code display with high recording density and low rate of error read by making constant the width of the dark part of a bar code and by displaying information by the rate between the width of the light part and that of the dark part.
CONSTITUTION: Widths W40, W41...W47 of dark parts 40, 41...47 are all equal; and, for example, light parts 50, 53, 55, 56, and 57 narrow in width express "0", and light parts 51, 52 and 54 wide in width express "1".
