Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance and magnetic characteristics and reduce aging by heat-treating an amorphous alloy in magnetic fields to aplly magnetic anisotropy and forming the magnetic head so that the angle assumed by its easy magnetization direction and operating gap becomes 0+ or -45 deg.. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous alloy 3 obtained by injecting raw material molten alloy onto a metal cylinder revolving at a high speed then solidifying the same through quenching is heated at above 250 deg.C between solenoid coils 1, 1 and is then acted with magnetic fields to induce magnetic anisotropy (arrow direction). Next, core pieces of a desired shape are so formed by blanking an operating gap 4 and a winding part 5 so that the angle assumed by the direction 6 of the operating gap and easy magnetization direction 7 becomes 0+ or -45 deg.. A suitable number of these are laminated, bonded and are applied with winding to form the magnetic head core.
