Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure free adjustment from outside for the leak magnetic field intensity or the polarized magnetism at the collector region, by adding the proper ferromagnetic component to the side surface of the upper permanent magnet.
CONSTITUTION: The straight-going beam type multi-cavity klystron is composed by the following component parts: electronic gun part 1 to generate the electron beam; high frequency circuit part 2 to amplify the high frequency power with energy of the electron beam; collector 3 to catch the electron beam; pole piece 4 at the electronic gun side; pole piece 5 at the collector side;permanent magnet 6 at the electronic gun side;permanent magnet 7 at collector side; and yoke 8 respecitvely. In addition, ferromagnetic component 9 is provided to the side surface of magnet 7 to adjust the leak magnetic field. The laterral axle shows distance Z along the center axis of the klystron, and the longitudinal axle shows magnetic flux density B respectively. And curve 11 shows when no ferromagnetic component is used; curve 12 shows when comparatively thin component is used; and curve 13 shows when comparatively thick component is used respectively
