Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the accumulation of sludge in an underground oil tank without stirring by heating stored oil partly for the circulation inside the tank.
CONSTITUTION: A suction part 2 and injection holes 3 are provided in an underground tank 1 to be connected with each other through a pump 4 and an overground heat exchanger 5. The stored oil 11 sucked from the suction port 2 by the pump 4 is heated by the overground heat exchanger 5, and injected throught injecting holes 3 on an annular pipe 6 for being heated constantly. This system serves to prevent the accumulation of sludge. It can be adapted for an overground tank as well as for the underground tank
