Abstract
PURPOSE: To providde a composition for oral cavity administration, containing an alkali metal salt of an N-mixed fatty acid acyl glutamic acid as a frothing agent.
CONSTITUTION: A composition for oral cavity administration such as dentrifice, containing an N-mixed fatty acid acyl-glutamic acid mono- or di-alkali metal salt of formula (M1,2 are alkali metal, H; provided that at least one of R1.2 is alkali metal: RCO- is mixed fatty acid residues consisting of (a) a mixture of coconut oil fatty acid and hardened tallow fatty acid in a wt. ratio of 1:9W3:7, and (b) an unsaturated fatty acid such as oleic acid, wherein the wt. ratio of (a) to (b) is 65W85 to 35W15), as a frothing agent.
EFFECT: The composition has high safety because it exerts only weak peeling action upon the oral mucosa, and has excellent permeability which leads to a high cleaning effect in the oral cavity
