Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the generation of noise due to coolant-noise by arranging a nozzle body equipped with a proper number of narrow paths having a hole diameter smaller than a reducing pipe, on the coolant exit side of the reducing pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid coolant which is pressure-reduced to about 80% in a reducing pipe 8 and formed to a little mist form is introduced into each narrow path 14aW14d of a nozzle body 10, and the rest 20% is pressure-reduced. The hole diameter of each narrow path 14aW14d is smaller than the time inner diameter of the reducing pipe 8, and there, the liquid coolant is formed to mist consisting of super minute particles in micron unit by a sharp decompression action and discharged in rectification state in which mist is separated into individuals. The rectification action and revolution action are provided by twisting the narrow paths 14aW14d in the same direction, and the coolant flows along the inner wall surface of a silencing pipe 11, and then is joined smoothly, and thus, the generation of coolant-noise can be prevented
