Abstract

PURPOSE: The title composition capable of giving stained paper having improved printability, gloss, and high resistance to water and solvents, and light-fastness, comprising a specific aqueous resin dispersion and a cyanuric or isocyanuric acid (or their derivative).
CONSTITUTION: (A) An aqueous resin dispersion, obtained by polymerizing (a) 0.1W5 parts by wt. of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer with (b) 0.5W5 parts by wt. of an acrylamide or methacrylamide derivative having one or more N-substituted methylol groups and (c) 90W99.8 parts by wt. of a radically polymerizable vinyl monomer, is incorporated with (B) 2W50 wt.% of cyanuric or isocyanuric acid or their derivative.
EFFECT: To give a composition usable as a topcoating compound for preventing discoloration by light and chalking of substrate stained paper
