Abstract
PURPOSE: A phenolic resin composition having improved electrical, mechanical, physical, and chemical properties, comprising (A) a phenolic resin and (B) an amide of a higher fatty acid obtained from a higher fatty acid and an aliphatic polyamine.
CONSTITUTION: (B) An amide of a higher fatty acid obtained by dehydrating a higher fatty acid expressed by formula [R is 16W18C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon residue) and an aliphatic polyanone, preferably expressed by formula I: (n is 0W 5)] is added to (A) a phemilic resin. Tung oil and linseed oil fatty acids, stearic and linoleic acids, may be cited as the higher fatty acid. Hexamethylenediamine, ethylenediamine, etc. may be cited as the aliphatic polyamine. The amide of higher fatty acid consists mainly of structures expressed by formulas X, IV and ÷: (R and R' are 16W18C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon residues)
