Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a muultiple lamp type lighting apparatus, in which a plurality of shades are supported by a main body having a plurality of sockets on its sides and a frame member for closing an opening formed on the lower surface of said main body, whereby number of component parts can be reduced and assembling operation can be also simplified.
CONSTITUTION: Main body 1 of the lighting apparatus is made in the form of a corss shaped box which is opened at its lower surface and consists of base plate 1a and side plates 1b. Cords of sockets 2 attached to side portions of the main body 1 are put in the main body 1 and they are connected to power source cord 3 which is protected by pipe 5. Frame member 8, substantailly in the form of a cross and a square, includes a cross-shaped frame portion 8a for closing the lower opening of the main body 1 and is formed with square holes 9 for holding shades 6 therein. The frame member 8 is coupled with main body 1 and fixed in place by means of threaded pipe 10 and nut 11. The shades 6, on the other hand, are fixed in place by means of sockets 2 extended through respective holes 7 formed in the wall of shades 6 and nuts 13 threaded with the sockets 2 from the inside of shades 6
