Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a lighting apparatus, in which a socket support having flange portions with projections for preventing turning formed at upper portions thereof is fitted into a hole formed in the shade, and the shade is supported by resilient projections formed on the socket support at the peripheral portion of said hole in the shade, whereby it is enabled to attach and detach the shade with ease.
CONSTITUTION: Thru-hole 2 and stopper recesses 3 are formed in the top plate 1a of shade 1. socket support 4 is made of connecfting portion 5 and flange portions 6 obtained by bending a long plate. Opposite pieces 5a of said connecdting portion 5 have respectively a resilient projection 7 which is formed by way of cutting and erecting a portion of the piece 5a and has an upper free end, and downward projection 9 for preventing turning of the socket support is formed on each of said flange portions 6. Socket 10 and pipe 8 having cord 11 passed therethrough are attached to the connecting portion 5. When shade 1 is moved upward from downwards of the socket support 4 and connecting portion 5 is fitted into the hole 2 in the shade 1, turning of the socket support 4 can be prevented through engagement between recesses 3 and projections 9, and at the same time, top plate 1a of the shade 1 is supported positively by the resilient projections 7
