Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a simplified scale removing method for a superheater and a reheater wherein metal temperatures at the superheater and the reheater are lowered to a temperature within a range between about 200°C and a normal temperature to cause exfoliation of scales whereafter a boiler is restarted in order to remove the exfoliated scales by thus generated steam.
