Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a numerical control apparatus for improvement of reliability on working control of a tool, wherein if an interruption of working of a workpiece is required the tool is withdrawn from the workpiece without fail and safely stopped, and in addition functions are provided by which treatments and a restoring operation after the interruption are easily carried out.
CONSTITUTION: In operation of a lathe, when by instructions from a numerical control apparatus 3 a tool 2 is working a workpiece 1 along a path through a point A, a point B and a point B, and if it is required at the point C to interrupt the working from any reason, an interruption signal is generated inside or outside of the control apparatus. The apparatus 3 recognizes the genaration of the signal, memorizes the state of the tool it has been, and to withdraw the tool from the workpiece automatically generates within the numerical control apparatus withdrawing operative instructions for a direction, amount and velocity of withdrawing with respect to the every direction previously given in the apparatus 3 to feed them to the tool
