Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a disintegration pbenomenon and a formation phenomenon of yellow water due to the elution of S component, by compounding converter slag and blast furnace slag at a specified wt. rate under a melting condition. CONSTITUTION:Converter slag and blast furnace slag in a melting condition are mixed and compounded over a range of 40-80 wt. % converter slag and 20-60 wt. % blast furnace slag to total wt.. Obtained complex slag does not form a natural disintegration phenomenon as in a converter slag, and can prevent the creation of yellow water due to the elution of contained S component as in blast furnace slag. This slag can apply for wide ranges, such as, road ballast, concrete aggregate, cement raw materials, etc.
