Abstract
PURPOSE: An aqueous coating compositin having improved cold rapid curability and water resistance, prepared by neutralizing and solulibilizing (A) a polyester resin consisting of an allyl ether component of a polyhydric alcohol and (B) an alkyd resi in water.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyester consisting of an allyl ether component of a polyhydric alcohol and (B) an alkyd resin are neutralized with ammonia and/or an amine and solubilized in water. A diallyl ether of glycerol, trimethylolpropane or di-or triallyl ether of pentaerythritol, etc. may be cited as the allyl ether of the polyhydric alcohol. Ethylene glycol, glycerol, polyethylene glycol, etc. may be cited as the polyhydric alcohol. Diethylamine, diethylethanolamine, morpholine, etc. may be cited as the amine
