Abstract

PURPOSE: A decorative laminate having uneven solid patterns, manufactured by pushing aside the undried specific repellent coating compound applied to a substrate to form any pattern due to the film thickness difference, and by solidifying the pattern developed based on the repelling effect.
CONSTITUTION: An undercoating compound is applied to a substrate, e.g. wood, inorganic non-combustible board, metal plate, etc. and solidified. A repellent coating compound, e.g. acrylic, alkyd types, etc. containing a silicone resin is then applied to the film thus obtained, then pushed aside by an embossing roll, etc. while undried to form an uneven pattern. The undercoating film is exposed at the depression, and the film is solidified when the pattern reaches the desired stage by the repelling effict.
EFFECT: Uneven patterns matching with the pattern can be formed.
