Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the above mentioned weld joint being able to use at a cold district without treating with heat after welding, by forming the filler zone overlaying a good cold resistant metal on ordinary steel and removing residual stress by heat treatment and then, welding the above filler zone b the same system filler metal having a good cold resistant property.
CONSTITUTION: The filler zone 3, 4 are formed by overlaying a good cold resistant metal, for example, austenitic stainless steel, on each weld joint zone of the mother material 1, 2 of ordinary steel separately. Next, for example, annealing is carried out by treating with heat at 570W650°C and residual stress is removed. Then, the material 1, 2 are constructed at a factory or actual place of cold district and the filler zone 5 is formed by welding between the zone 3, 4 by the welding rod of the same system filler metal having a good cold resisting property. The above weld joint is sufficiently used at the temperature less than 0°C, because the zone 3, 4 have a good cold resisting property even though the residual stress of welding by the zone 5 is generated at the zone 3, 4
