Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a device for exactly holding an automotive door at predetermined opening position with a simple and light structure to enable preferable opening and closing operations of the door without resisting the operating force of the door.
CONSTITUTION: This device A for checking an automotive door is mounted at the pillar 11 of an automotive body at the position different from hinge members 12, 13 as the pivotal fulcrum of the door 10 and is composed of a checking arm 2 and a base member 3. The arm 2 is pivotally secured at one end 24 thereof to a bracket 14 provided at the pillar 11, and formed at the other with a stopper 22 and at the intermediate with cam portions 21a, 21b on the lower midway thereof.
