Abstract

PURPOSE: To constantly assure appropriate lubrication temperature by controlling bearing lubrication temperature in proportion to a deviation between actual measurements and specified value of acceleration generated by the circumferential speed of a rotor.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor revolutions and rotational variation measuring instrument 14 is installed in the vicinity of a rotor 3 supported by a slide bearing 2 with the aid of oil film 4 and connected, by way of an arithmetic unit 21, to a control unit 15 which controls regulator valves 7 and 10. This allows the arithmetic unit 21 to calculate accelerations on the basis of a speed measured by the measuring instrument 14 for comparison of the results obtained with a specified value generated by the accelerator 23 by means of a comparator 22. It also allows a heating source 8 to actuate a heating unit 6, thereby heating bearing oil in an oil tank 5 or activating a refrigerator 9 with the aid of cooling agent supplied from a coolant tank 11 and cooling off bearing oil. In this case, if bearing oil temperature is measured with an oil temperature detector 13 and the control valves 7 and 10 are controled in proportion to the said deviation, similar results will be produced
