Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain transmission X-ray images of high resolution by removably providing a slit having openings smaller than the light receiving faces of elements in front of the X-ray detecting elements of the X-ray tomographic apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In the case of obtaining the transmission X-ray images of the subject 1 with the apparatus wherein an X-ray source 5 generating fan shape X-rays and a detector 6 consisting of plural detecting elements D1 thru Dn detecting these rotate with the subject 1 in-between and the arbitrary section images of the subject 1 are obtained; a rmovable slit 11 which has openings O1 thru On smaller than the openings of the detecting elements D1 thru Dn in correspondence to said openings is mounted in front of the detector 6. The subject 1 is then moved in the direction approximately perpendicular to the spreading direction of the fan form X-rays, during which time the fan form X-rays are radiated in a pulselike manner to the subject 1 and the detected signals are inputted to an electronic computer 9, causing the transmission X-ray images to be displayed in a display device 10. Thereby, the transmission X-ray images of high resolutions may be obtained even if the detecting elements are selatively large.
