Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an article transporting apparatus, simple in structure, which can move the article to be transported in both vertical and horizontal directions through only horizontal movement of its component elements.
CONSTITUTION: When drive link 6 is moved, for instance, horizontally to the right, slide bed 3 is moved to the right along the slide surface 7a of slide table 3 until it comes into abutment with a stopper, by the aid of control links 4, 5 connected to pins 1b, 2a of shaft 1, 2 having one end connected to one end of link 6 by means of pin 6a and the other end inserted into hole 3a in slide bed 3 in the manner freely slidable therein. Since the drive link 6 is moved further through a certain distance also after the slide bed 3 is stopped, control links 4, 5 are moved against the force of spring 10 extended between pins 1a and 2b, in the manner that they are in line with each other.
