Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyamide composition having improved melt spinning properties, by adding a copper, a halogen, and a thiuram compounds to a polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A melt spinnable polyamide is blended with (B) 0.001W0.02 wt.% based on the metallic copper of a copper compound, e.g. copper acetate, copper stearate, copper chloride, etc., (C) 0.01W0.5wt.% of a halogen compound, e.g.KI, KBr, etc., and (D) 0.001W0.01wt.% of a thiuram compound shown by the formula (R1W4 are H, 1W20C hydrocarbon group; R1 and R2, R3 and R4 may form closed rings; n is 1W4).
EFFECT: Uniform undrawn fibers produced by spinning have improved stretchability, and can improve drawing operation efficiency
