Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the variations in the height of the ears of toner and enable good quality recording to be performed by studding wires for holding the toner with specified accuracy on a sheet being a non-magnetic material bonded to sleeve surface. CONSTITUTION:A toner holding layer 13 is composed of a multiplicity of magnetic material wires 15 which are studded through a sheet 14 composed of a non-magnetic material and an insulation type material, in its thickness direction. In this way, the toner holding layer 13 having accuracy is beforehand made and the toner holding body is formed by winding this to the peripheral surface of a sleeve 11 by way of an adhesive agent 12, then the toner 6 is attracted to the end of each wire 15 and the magnetic brush B having the ears of a uniform height is therby formed, and therefore the picture quality of the recording images may be improved.
