Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve lower light loss and easier assembling by using an optical transmission body having the specific refractive index distribution and length as well as a reflecting means.
CONSTITUTION: Optical fibers 11 thru 17 are disposed parallel in proximity to the end face 3 of an optical transmission boey 1 which has a refractive index distribution decreasing in proportion to the square of the distance from the optical axis face 4, both end faces 2, 3 perpendicular to the optical axis face 4 and a length about 1/4m(m is a positive integer) times the pitch at which light propagates Zigzag and whose end face 2 is made reflecting face.
