Abstract
PURPOSE: To construct safely the blast furnace in a short period of time without requiring the equipment such as large-sized crane, etc., by preparing the iron shell of blast furnace while dividing to plural stages of ring form beforehand, hanging- down them with the hanging device at the upper part of the tank and mounting them in order from the lower part to the upper part.
CONSTITUTION: The tank 2 for furnace body is installed on the foundation of the blast furnace and, on its top part, the furnace top tank 3 provided with the hanging device 11 of the furnace top constituted of the hanging beam 5, the upper and lower sheave blocks 8 and 8' and the winch 9, is furnished. The temporary tower 14a is installed at one side of the tank 2 and the temporary girder 14 is installed between the top of the above tower 14a and the top of the tank 2. The iron shells of ring form of each stage are prepared by being welded on this girder 14, are hung down with the hanging device 11 of the furnace top tank 3, are dropped on the foundation 1 and are welded successiely, so as to form the iron shell of the furnace body. Besides, the collapsible taking- in deck 13 is set on one side of the furnace body tank 2 and the pipings, machineries and staves are furnished utilizing the hoist 22 equipped to the girder 14 at the same time with the completion of each stage.
