Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect the remote control and monitor and the automatic control by electrically controlling the existence of a reference plane with the use of a magnetic fluid and plural coils which are arranged in the vicinity of the fluid.
CONSTITUTION: A container 1 made of an annular tube is charged up with a magneitc fluid 4 and is wound with coils 2 to 5 which have the same number of wiring and size. The coils 2 to 5 are connected in parallel with a measuring AC power source 8 and are equipped with ammeters 9. When the tube 1 takes a position on a horizontal plane, the inductances of the respective coils 2 to 5 become absolutely equal so tht the levels of the respective ammeters 9 become coincident. In case a reference plane 10 is inclined with respect to the horozontal plane, the distribution in the quantity of the magnetic fluid 6 in the tube 1 is increased downward so that the inductances at the lower side of the coils 2 to 5, thus making it possible to detect that the reference plane 10 is inclined in accordance with the level of the ammeters 9
