Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate uncomfortability coming from the hour stirking sounds during sleep by providing skip or stop means for presetting the time striking signals, which are fed to sound generating means, to one or zero at a correct hour independently of the logical operation of hour striking means. CONSTITUTION:When it is desired not to generate the hour striking sounds in number corresponding to that hour during sleep, the switch SW4 of a skip circuit 13 is turned on. This skip circuit 13 is made operative to reduce the hour striking signals, which are to be fed to a speaker 12, to one at the correct hour independently of the preset content of hour striking logical circuit, which is operative to preset the number of hour striking sound corresponding to the correct hour, as well as its logical operation. As a result, the hour striking sound is generated one which corresponds to the final striking frequency pulse. In case it is desired to generate no hour striking sound, the switch SW5 of a stop circuit 14 is turned on so that no sound is heard.
