Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a modulator by rendering all of switching transistors inconductive to make it unnecessary to provide a main switch in case no pulse is applied to the bases of the transistors. CONSTITUTION:When switching transistor 12 receives no pulse, it is rendered inconductive so that an oscillatory transistor 5 has no current flow to stop its oscillations. A transistor 2 is also inconductive, and ultrared light emitting diodes 1a and 1b have no current flow. When function command switches 15a to 15c are depressed so that pulses are generated by a semiconductor integrated circuit 14, the transistors 12, 5 and 2 are turned conductive so that current flows through the diodes 1a and 1b, thus making it possible to accomplish the romote control.
