Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide smoother speed changing and simpler controlling in a power train composed of an overdrive device and an auxiliary transmission connected in series by operating a one-way clutch in every speed changing.
CONSTITUTION: This transmission is provided with a torque converter 1, an overdrive device 2, an auxiliary transmission 3 with three forwards and one backward, and an oil pressure controller 4. The overdrive device 2 is provided with a planetary type gear 30 containing a carrier 21 connected with an output shaft 14 of a torque converter 1, and between its planetary pinion 22 and sun gear 23, a direct clutch 25 and a one-way clutch 26 is provided. Meanwhile, the auxiliary transmission 3 is provided with a front and a rear clutch device 31 and 32, the second and the first and reverse brake device 33 and 34, one-way clutches 35 and 36, and a front and a rear planetary type gear device 37 and 38.
