Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the inside of a vessel at a high vacuum and maintain the life, characteristics, etc. of the detecting element for a long period of time by filling gas adsorbents in the vacuum vessel thereby forming the detecting tube in the vacuum type detecting tube using the detecting tube installed in the vacuum vessel and used by being cooled. CONSTITUTION:The vacuum type detecting tube is formed by mounting a semiconductor element 13 to be made as a detector on the back of the cooling recess 12 of a vacuum vessel 11, electrically connecting the same to leads 14a, 14b, filling gas adsorbents 18 such as molecular sieves into the space in the vessel above the section narrowed part 17 formed by respectively protruding the mid-portions of the inside wall 15 and outside wall 16 of the vessel 11, mounting a plug 19 such as glass cloth or the like into the narrowed part 17 and supporting the sametherein and bonding a detecting window 21 using an infrared ray transmission material such as Ge in the lower opening part of the vessel 11 then sufficiently evacuating the inside of the vessel 11. Measurement is performed by cooling the element 13 with the coolant supplied into the recess 12, at which time theadsorbents 18 are also cooled, wherby gas adsorptivity is increased and the inside of the vessel 11 is maintained at a high vacuum.
