PURPOSE: To reproduce recording signal such as video or audio signal by applying contact force of stylus and recording disc to a compliance arm by way of a spring body.
CONSTITUTION: A stylus 1, a mechanical-electrical transducer 2, a compliance arm 3 connected by means of an elastic member 4 and a fixing member 5 are provided. The elastic member 4, which is provided in order to improve tracking of the compliance arm in its vertical directions, has a resonance frequency higher than the vertial resonance frequency by the spring body composed of a ring form spring body 6 and viscoelastic material 7 and lowers the mechanical impedances in the vertical direction in a high frequency region.
