Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the title agent showing a reliable effect in a short time and consisting of an org. substance, Na2CO3 and the balance one or more kinds of inorg. oxides such as CaO, SiO2, MgO, MnO, Al2O3 and FeO. CONSTITUTION:The agent consists of an org. substance; 30-60 wt%, Na2CO3>= 5 wt% and the balance one or more kinds of inorg. oxides such as CaO, SiO2, MgO, MnO, Al2O3 and FeO. The org. substance includes waste of paper manufacture, tar, pitch, wood chips, coke, coal, etc., yet the waste which is industrial waste or wastepaper is pref. used in respect of economical efficiency. The surface area of the agent is made as large as possible which ensuring a specific gravity at which the agent does not float when charged into molten steel.
