Abstract

PURPOSE: A powder coating booth free from powder explosion in which the exhaust gas from the lower part of substrates to be coated is treated with a wet type of separator and the other exhaust gases are treated with a dry type of separator.
CONSTITUTION: Truck 2 loaded with substrate to be coated 3 is sent into spray room 4 by floor conveyor 1. The air that is dedusted and controlled to prescribed humidity in air controller 5 is sent through fan 5B, duct 6 to chamber 7 which is equipped on the upper part of room 4 and rectifies the air. The rectified air is passed through filter 8 and flown down into room 4. The exhaust air near conveyor 1, truck 2, device for conveying substrate to be coated 3 is sent through exhaust hopper 13A and pipe 15A, then treated with wet separator 21. The rest of exhaust air is sent through exhaust hoppers 14 and 13B of side room 9 and pipe 15C, 15B to bag filters 23A, 23B, thus being treated by dry process.
