Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish rapid restoration of the car level from the lowest level by means of a hydropneumatic suspension apparatus permitting free selection of any car level according to the road condition. CONSTITUTION:A hydropneumatic suspension unit for the front wheels and the rear wheels are provided between the car body and the suspension member. The level of the car is raised or lowered by feeding a working oil to both the suspension units 1 and 2 from a high pressure pump 15a with a small capacity of a dual pump 15 through a discharge port 11 or a feed port 10. In this apparatus, a working oil is introduced to the units 1 and 2 from a medium pressure pump 15b with a large capacity of the dual pump 15 for a power steering device 16 to rapidly restore the car level to the specified level from the lowest level.
