Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a door safety device for elevator which can prevent the mulfunctioning due to change in opening/closing resistance as encountered when the car door is engaged with the door expressly decorative and massive at the landing on a particular floor.
CONSTITUTION: When a cage 1 stops at the landing on a floor, upon engagement of the car door with the door at the landing, a first engagement detector 13 is closed. With a door opening/closing command device 15 actuated, a motor 5 is energized through a control device 16 to driven the car door 2 and the landing door. Then, if the car door is engaged with the massive door at the landing on a particular floor, a second engagement detector 14 is closed and with the subsequent actuation of the door opening/closing command device 15, the car door 2 and the landing door is driven as in the afore-mentioned case. At this moment, an increase in the opening/closing resistance actuates a first overloas detector 11 while the first engagement detector 13 is made open. Thus, an abnormal detection relay 18 fails to be energized, thereby preventing mulfunctioning of an abnormal control device 17.
