Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely prevent collision by a simple mechanism, by making calculations from the elevation angle and azimuth angle of cranes detected by angle sensor.

These synchro transmitters and the receivers are connected to a calculator 10 to enter the azimuth and elevation signals S1WS4 of the cranes 1, 2 from the tramsitters and the receivers into the calculator 10. Thereby, the distance between the cranes is calculated to supply an approach signal CS to prevent the cranes from colliding against each other. Since the calculation is performed by the sine and cosine functions, the calculator 10 is simple.
