Abstract
PURPOSE:to reduce spurious extremely, increase efficiency and stabilize the device by connecting the surface electrode formed according to reed screen electrodes with one of the reed screen electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A pair of reed screen electrodes 3 and 4 are set on one surface 2 of thin plate type piezo-electric material 1 interdigitally and surface electrode 6 is set on the other surface 5; electrodes 6 and 4 are connected and used as an electrode for earthing. Generally, rhm waves exist in regions A and B with small d (thickness of propagation) against requested frequency f and have different characteristics from Rayleigh's wave (surface elastic wave). The rhm waves are generated in the media with thin thickness less than 5lambda and there is region B where speed is changed sharply and region A with the constant speed. By using the characteristics of rhm waves, only rhm waves of zero objective mode are excited and transferred effectively and excitment and transfer of other modes are supressed, so that a transduser with extremely low spurious is available.
