Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a pipe joint capable of easy and reliable connection even with a tube made of thin metal or polyethylene and the like.
CONSTITUTION: A box nut 6, a split ring shaped tapered core 5, a ring shaped packing 3, and a ring 7 are slipped over in order on a tube B which is to be connected and a reinforcement core 2 is inserted in the tube B which is them inserted in a tube receiving opening 1 until it seats against a protruded step 14 for the positioning, said ring members 7, 3, 4 and 5 are inserted in an annular spece C thereafter and are tightened by the box nut 6, said tightening of the box nut 6 causing the diameter of the tapered core 5 to contract. The tube thus connected is water tight and will not loosen free from the tube receiving opening 1 even with a pulling force exerted thereto by the pressure of inner fluid because of tight engaging of the ring shaped packing 3 to the outer surface of the tube inside of which is reinforced by the reinforcement core 2.
