Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible excitation of the vibration mode of (1, 1, 1) by improving electrode structure and facilitate supporting of the vibrator by improving its shape. CONSTITUTION:The polarization distribution of the vibration mode of (1, 1, 1) is the same vibration as thickness slip vibration and is such a vibration that its displacement is maxmum at the center of the electric axis direction (X-axis direction) as shown in the figure, becomes gradually smaller from the end part in the direction perpendicular to the electric axis and becomes zero at the center and is of anantiphase in the last half wherein it gradually increases and becomes maximum in the end part.
