Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a good communication possible by enhancing the coupling degree of a photo coupler only at a communication time and switching the gain of a receiver. CONSTITUTION:Signals from optical transmission path 1 are branched in photo coupler 6 and have control signals separated by separation circuit 10 through optical receiver 8 and are sent to terminal equipment 2. AGC circuit 9 detects the output amplitude of optical receiver 8 and controls it so that its value may be constant, and separated control signals are detected in control circuit 11 and controls the switching and the operation of receiving and transmission of photo coupler 6. The output signal from terminal equipment 2 is transmitted through optical transmitter 7 and photo coupler 6. Then, the coupling degree of photo coupler 6 is enhanced at a transmission/receiving time.
