Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve oscillated frequency temperature characteristic considerably with reducing the amount used of a piezo-electric plate and facilitating production by forming two energy shutting vibrators, which have peak temperature different from each other, on one piezo-electric plate at the same time.
CONSTITUTION: 0-order symmetrical and 0-order oblique symmetrical mode energy shutting vibrators are formed on one LiTaO3 piezo-electric plate 1, and exciting electrode 2 of one vibrator is divided into two to generate 0-order symmetrical mode resonance. Exciting electrode 2 of the other vibrator is divided into three and is made into a vibrator where 0-order oblique symmetrical resonance is generated. At this time, these vibtators are formed at a prescribed interval so that they cannot couple elastically, and a Y plate obtained by rotating LiTaO3 at 164° is used as the piezo-electric plate. Thus, dependently upon the peak temperature difference between the 0-order symmetrical SO mode and the 0-order oblique symmetrical AO mode, the temperature characteristic of oscillated frequencies becomes considerably good in comparison with single SO or AO. However, since the temperature characteristic of vibrators has a downward concave, it is necessary that the load impedance is inductive.
