Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an ozonizer with enhanced O3 yield in which deterioration of dielectrics due to moisture absorption and lowering in electrical characteristics can be prevented by forming O2 -contg. gas passes at two facing sides of square electrode; attaching high voltage electrode lead wires to other facing sides; and installing cooling water supply and drain holes.
CONSTITUTION: All of raw gas such as air to be supplied 27 to the ozonizer is passed through discharge space 17 to be ozonized by silent discharge. Cooling water supply pipe 12 and drain pipe 13 are independently separated from gas passes, and hence the work for connecting the pipes is done outside tank 20. Accordingly, a water leak is prevented at the connection parts, resulting in no lowering in O3 yield, no deterioration of dielectrics 15 due to moisture sbsorption, and no lowering in electrical characteristics.
