Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate a need for complex and expensive count circuit by combining a switching means which has the discharge potential of an ignition electrode drive neon tube as its trigger potential and a CR timer.
CONSTITUTION: A switching means consisting of a thyrister 31, a capacitor 32, resistors 34 and 35, and a transistor 33, and a CR timer consisting of a capacitor 37 and a resistor 38 are provided in the circuit whereby a solenoid valve 4 is turned on by the actuation of transistors 10, 11, and 13 when a power source switch 9 is switched on to ignite a main burner. During this period, the trigger potential from a neon tube 24 is applied to a thyrister 31 for the charging of the capacitor 32 while a ignition electrode is discharging for ignition, and at the same time the potential of the capacitor 37 is raised until it exceeds predetermined level when a transistor 41 is actuated to turn off the transistor 13 closing the solenoid valve 4 thereby stopping the gas supply when the main burner is not ignited within the time limit set by the capacitor 37 and the resistor 38.
