Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform high-precision adjustment by automatizing the measurement of overpin dimensions. CONSTITUTION:A main control device provided with a signal processing arithmetic unit, a printing device, display device and an auxiliary control device is placed between measuring probe 1 and a drive unit. By this, electrical signal which shows the amount of displacement of measuring probe 10 advancing into groove 11 of the gear, an amount of displacement which has been formed on work 1 in accordance with the signal sent from the main control device, is fed to the signal processing arithemtic unit, and thereby the overpin dimensions which determine the thickness of gear formed on the work are automatically calculated, and the results are sent to the printing device, the display device and the auxiliary control device. Further, the drive unit, which adjusts the distance between hob 5 and work 1, operates on the basis of the difference between the overpin dimensions calculated by the auxiliary control device and the theoretical overpin dimensions. Consequently, personal errors due to human operation are eliminated.
